Patti Yeiser Potter

Patti Yeiser Potter founded Yeiser Training for the Financial Industry in 1993. She has been a trainer for 18 years, instructing thousands of bankers in the critical skills of sales, sales management, customer service and product knowledge, including banks in all asset sizes both nationally and internationally.
Potter is a prodigious writer, and has developed over 50 training programs specifically for the banking industry. As a certified HPI (Human Performance Improvement) consultant, she specializes in custom-designed service and sales programs for her clients. She served as Director of Training for National Commerce Financial Corporation in Memphis, Tennessee for ten years, and her supermarket sales program, distributed worldwide by NCBS since 1986, is now an industry standard. She has conducted seminars with many bank trade associations, and in 1994, in conjunction with the Tennessee Bankers Association (TBA), helped introduce the Southeastern School of Sales Leadership, a graduate school of banking dedicated to helping bankers develop and enhance their sales cultures. Potter has also served as lead instructor for the TBA’s Southeastern School of Consumer Credit and the Southeastern School of Banking. Her firm was selected in 1999 to develop the sales management curriculum for the national graduate Schools of Banking, and this program is currently being taught in banking schools througout America.
Potter is known for making a room come alive! Her energy level is contagious and her relentless enthusiasm delights even the most subdued participants. She has an inborn sense for making a seminar fun, and this skill, coupled with her depth of knowledge on sales in banking has earned her wide respect among her peers.
She was selected as one of five core faculty members of the American Bankers Association’s American Financial Skylink, and her training videos were rated among the top 10% in the nation. Potter served as a speaker at the ABA’s national convention, addressing the topic “Is Your Sales Training Still Not Working?” and she has also supported the ABA’s Performance Training Series as an on-line instructor. She is currently writing a book and a web-based training series on service and selling in the financial industry.
